Here’s to another awesome weekend with GREAT weather! I’m really diggin’ the cool temperatures … cuz it’ll get hot enough real soon!

Y’all know how much I love Pomegranate juice. So, I thought I’d share why.

A lot of you can say that pom juice is healthy, but did you know that pom juice has been shown to be beneficial in heart disease prevention. Just 8 oz has as much as 40% of the RDA of vitamin C. Because of pasteurization in some brands, you might get significantly less if any at all vitamin C, so look for as natural a brand as you can. I get the Pomm Wonderful brand and drink it straight. I know some who mix Ginger Ale or some other sparkly drink with it. Too frou-frou for me! Besides vitamin C, pom juice can contain fair amounts of vitamins A, E, & folic acid.

Studies show Pom juice also has 3x more antioxidants per ounce than does red wine or green tea. Other studies show pom juice may also help thin the blood which in-turn helps blood flow to and through the heart. It also has been shown to reduce arterial plaque, raise good levels of cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol. Add it all up and drinking pom juice leads toward better heart health all the way around. Obviously, just drinking the juice alone is not enough for total health – you gotta move your butt and sweat too!

Even more studies are leaning toward pom juice being helpful in fighting certain lines of cancer. It has been somewhat linked to reducing breast and skin cancer. Guys, it has been shown to slow the growth of prostate cancer in those wonderful human stand-ins … mice.

There are other studies and tests being done and the future of pom juice in a healthy diet seems secure, but like I said before, you also need to do physical exercise as well.
