Hope you’re having a great weekend! It’s gorgeous out and warm. I guess we’re being “eased” into a hot freakin summer coming up, uh?

Ok, this week I’m going back a bit to a subject I hit on some a while back … HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?

Since we’re talking about fitness, let’s start there. How bad do you want it … that’s the real question isn’t it? How bad do you want to lose that weight or lift that weight or get into those old jeans or how bad do you really want to start eating right? Now how bad do you want to … get that job or get that girl / guy or take that special trip or move to that nicer neighborhood?

How bad do you want it? You’ve heard these quotes before, but they’re still good to have in your head; “a goal without a deadline is just dreaming”, “a ship without a rudder has no definite direction”, “you always pass failure on your to success”, “failure is not the only punishment for laziness, there is also the success of others”.

Ok, so what are we talking about? We’re talking about making goals that mean something to you. When you ask yourself the question; How Bad Do I Want It … your answer should be REAL BAD. Why spend the time working for a goal that doesn’t mean anything to you? Sounds dumb, but some folks do just that – they spin their wheels and waste time on a project just to stop when some little hiccup happens. They didn’t want it bad enough. Don’t be like that guy or gal. Set a goal that is worthy of your time and effort and don’t stop until you accomplish your goal.

Write down your goal, then keep it handy, look at it often, think about it, dream about it, eat with it, shower with it, drive to work with it … you get the idea. Make small steps that lead to the big steps that lead to the end and don’t lose the vision you started out pursuing!
